The primary commuting roads in this area are of course US-98 and a few less famous local roads. Namely Old Polk City Road, North Socrum Loop Road, Daughtery Road and Marcum Road.
Daughtery and Marcum Road will take you east and west. US-98 and Socrum Loop Road will take you to where you can access Interstate-4. Old Polk City Road is one of my favorite routes to stay off of I-4 and enjoy the country. It connects to North Socrum Loop Road and heads off toward the east and Polk City.
Shopping here is already pretty good and it is getting better as more people move to the area. It is just a short drive to US-98 and everything you need will be there. However if you live on the east side of the zip code N Socrum Loop Road has a couple of places you can get groceries. There is a Winn Dixie on the corner of Socrum Loop Road and Old Polk City Road and a new Publix being built (remodeled) to the south on Socrum Loop Road by Sandpiper.
