Grasslands should always have homes for sale. Lakeland FL has several golfing communities and Grasslands is one which offers a diverse group of smaller communities. The first homes were built in the early 1990’s and there were a few homes built here as late as 2019. Some of the communities inside of Grasslands are Bellerive, Enclave at Grasslands (condos), Fairway Lakes, Heritage Lakes, Laurel Glen, Muirfield Village (condos), Prestwick, Sanctuary at Grasslands, Shoal Creek Village and Turnberry. There are homes from affordable to luxurious million dollar homes.
The Enclave at Grasslands is a condominium community just outside of Grasslands gated entrance. There are 100 of these hideaway condos, not very many of them sell either. They vary in size from a 1,220 square foot 2 bedroom and 2 bath up to a 1,628 3 bed and 2 bath unit. In the last year only 2 units sold. They averaged about $175,000 and were both under 1,400 square feet.
Muirfield Village is also outside of the main gate. The property styles you may have to choose from here are either townhomes or condominium. I believe there to be 96 of these homes. In the previous year 8 of them sold for a median price of around $219,400. The homes were built between 1999 and 2006.
There are six different communities or subdivisions inside of Grasslands. Each one looks distinct and there price range can vary simply by which one you live in. Here is a brief description of each in alphabetical order.
Fairway Lakes is one of the southernmost parts of Grasslands. There are 78 beautiful homes here all all but 5 or 6 are water view or view the golf course. This part the community is laid out very well and well worth the short drive from the entrance. The median price here has been just over $521,000 based on the last 4 sales.
Heritage Lakes is a small but exclusive part of this great golfing community. There are fewer than 70 homes here. They are incredibly nice and rarely are sold. Only a couple have sold in the previous year. The most expensive was over 1.5 million and the least expensive was over $700,000. Very nice homes, very quiet setting.
Laurel Glen is next to but not intermingled with Heritage Lakes. This community has the same name as the primary road in it. In fact if you live in Laurel Glen Cove, Laurel Glen Drive or Laurel Glen Place I think you get my point.
The homes here were all built between 2005 and 2018. The style is a little more modern and the lawns a lot smaller. The median price here is around $412,000.
The Sanctuary is the newest part of this golfing community. The first homes were built in 2011 and as I write this some building continues. I expect it to be completed in 2020. There are after all only about 45 homes. The majority are either golf view or water view. A wonderful addition to this already stunning gathering of fine homes. Expect to pay around $800,000 to get into a home in the Sanctuary.
Shoal Creek Village has just under 70 homes in it. They of course look slightly different than the rest of these unique subdivisions. Most of them also look over the course or one of the beautiful ponds.
This inner sanctum was one of the first group of homes built here. The first in 1990 and the final in 2000. Starting off on the right track has made Grasslands one of the most respected communities in all of Lakeland Florida and the pricing show it. Most of these are under 2,000 square feet and will still run you over $300,000.
Turnberry is the southernmost part of Grasslands. It to is slightly unique and has it's advantages. There are slightly over 50 of these homes. They range in size from 1,558 to just over 3,000 square feet. $ homes sold in 2019 for an average price of around $375,000. Not bad when you consider the incredible amenities and prestige of living here.
Local shopping will be approximately 1 mile South at either the Target or the Publix Supermarket at Oakbridge Center. There is also a Imax Theater and many more shops across the street from the Publix. You will find the Lakeside Village Shopping Mall has quite a bit to offer and is very nice.
Florida Ave South is just a mile to your East. Many restaurants, a Walmart Supercenter and more is what you can expect to find there. FL Avenue South is a major road covered businesses vying for your dollar.
