Why Are People Moving To Lakeland Florida?

People are moving to Lakeland FL because it is cheaper than neighboring cities and perceived to be safer from hurricanes. It is safer than Tampa from hurricanes and I feel crime as well. I spend a lot of time in both cities and prefer Lakeland overall.

Tampa has a much nicer downtown and of course the bays and ocean. Other than that the city is overpriced and overcrowded. North Tampa seems to be a unsafe disaster waiting to happen. I suggest moving to Lakeland and traveling to Tampa when interested. Thank you for asking, why are people moving to Lakeland FL?
